Problem:
Kern's Oak Grove Cemetery had no digital footprint. As a result, few people had heard about them, and those who had found it confusing and frustrating to locate information about their records and costs.
Solution:
To address this issue, I collaborated with them to design and create a custom website containing all the pertinent information about the cemetery. To facilitate public access to burial records, I developed an application that allows them to store and edit their records in a Google Sheet, which is then automatically uploaded to a user-friendly searchable interface on the website.
I managed all aspects of the setup, from their domain and hosting provider to the analytics that let them track the impact of their website. Through frequent communication and close collaboration, I designed an uncommon side menu design they love, picked the perfect color palette, and created a stunning logo
Impact:
This project provided Kern's Oak Grove Cemetery with the digital footprint they needed to be found. It helps people locate their loved ones' graves and communicates important information, reducing the number of inquiries the volunteer board of directors has to handle.
